Stores to Shop: Nearly all home improvement and department stores will hold spring cleaning sales events NOTE: pricing changes quickly during the spring, especially at online sites like Amazon and Ebay.

Expected Discounts: Shoppers can find modest discounts from 10-20% off general name-brand cleaning supplies that can be stacked with coupons for additional savings (depending on the name-brand offer on the coupon), up to 30% off storage and organizer items, and 20-30% off a wide selection vacuum cleaners and shopvacs with up to 50% off select models.

SAVINGS TIP: While cleaning supplies and tools may often be better represented at home improvement stores, average prices for home cleaning products may be better at big box stores. Stores to Shop: For active apparel and shoes, Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, Puma and Converse lead the way along with sporting goods stores like Finishline, Footlocker and Eastbay. REI, Patagonia, Backcountry , Bass Pro Shop, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Cabela’s all have multiple spring events featuring discount pricing on the newest hiking, climbing, fishing and camping apparel and sports and outdoors gear. Expected Discounts: Look for 10-30% off  yard and garden prep items like seed, fertilizers, insecticides and plants, bulbs, shrubs and trees, with similar discounting on typical lawn and garden tools and equipment.
